There is more to these stools than what meets the eye. What appears to be a simple stool has hidden reinforcements. Pieces are cut to perfection, edges are hand-sanded. Each stool gets the attention that one can only find at shops where the people behind the work take great pride in what they do. And of course we make sure that our wood comes from responsible sources.

Open comes in either sugar-pine or ash and it is available in a regular size at 19-1/2 inches height. 

While we currently offer four standard colors, local production makes it also possible for us to easily offer custom colors.

We found the perfect local manufacturer in South Central Los Angeles that match our principles of sustainability. We  produce the stools in South Central LA, a neighborhood with low income with lots of social problems. Our producer is a small shop that comes from a Mexican family with tradition in making wood furniture. They craft all the pieces by hand and they employ workers that have social problems like people who have been in jail or find no work elsewhere.
