About this Event

“THE FUTURE IS HERE” Live Experience is a fully participatory event and immersive featuring a wide range of expert contributors interacting both on and off-stage, workshops, skill sharing, installations and Pop Up with focus on circular economy, impact investing and social enterprises.

Our event is designed as a convergence of regenerative culture visionaries across all institutional, industrial, and governmental borders, organized to foster creative collaborative solutions to common problems, share ideas and resources, and inspire each other!

Installations: "No Time To Waste” by UCLA counterforce lab - The Farm Project - Eco designer Thierry JeannotHibrida - TOUCH new product launching made out of recycled milk carton by "Stars of the Field" artisans. Book embroidery poetries by Natália Menhem, TOUCH eco design products and much more.

TOUCH Live Experiences are part of a global community of leaders, entrepreneurs, activists, artists, designers, executives, artisans, academics, and visionaries.

Opening Reception Welcome Introduction by Zoë Melo - TOUCH Founder, Carolina Tinoco - TOUCH Partner and Flávio Biscotti -FAB-gallery Founder. The evening will have a very special guest DJ, Climate Dynamics Scientist professor @ USC, Julien Emile-Geay who will play very special tunes.

Presentations & Conversations - "The Significance of a Social Enterprise" Social entrepreneurs play the role of change agents in the social sector by adopting a mission to create and sustain social value (not just private value) by recognizing and relentlessly pursuing new opportunities to serve that mission; engaging in the process of continuous innovation, adaptation, and learning; acting boldly without being limited by resources currently in hand and exhibiting a heightened sense of accountability to the constituencies served and for the outcomes created.

If your dream is to build a just, inclusive, sustainable and thriving future, these socially minded entrepreneurs will sure inspire and encourage you to be part of a positive change and achieve your social goal. Presentations & Conversations - “Circular Economy”- We have abundant opportunities to create change in the way we produce and consume. Despite the challenges we’re facing - waste, climate change, resource scarcity, loss of biodiversity - this group of solutions-oriented speakers are going to share what is possible within a new system: a Circular Economy.

If you want to learn how businesses can create value by reusing and recycling materials, how designers can come up with amazingly clever solutions, and how you can contribute to make the Circular Economy happen, this evening is for you.

DinnerTALK - “Senses & sensibility Experiments” - During our Live Experience TOUCH will present a tasting evening with Venezuelan chef Johnattan Ramirez from “Conciencia Gourmet” who will be in town to bring to our guests an idea of what the future of food could looks like. A full food cycle from compost to plate. Ingredients will be selected from local producers.

While our guests experience the food of chef Johnattan Ramirez from “Conscious Gourmet”, learn about the system of food growing with Alberto Superchi from The Farm Project and listen to Gregory Wendt from Green Business Networking talk about the Impact of investing in the green economy.

Sunday – Sept 1, 2019 – 12:00 – 9:00 PM

"Zero Waste Awareness Day" - Sunday is our closing day and it will be a very interactive and fun day with lots of activities!!!!

3:00 - 4:00 PM be part of a very inspiring lecture of mother & son who Zoë Melo (TOUCH's Founder) had the honor to meet while they were picking up trash at Venice Beach. Célini Petauton is a teacher/ librarian at a private high school in Los Angeles and her son Louis Petauton is a student of waste management at Ecole Hôteliere de Lausanne, they will tell their inspiring story about what is like to spend their summer cleaning up the beaches and talking to others about the importance of not throwing trash at our oceans.

5:00 - 7:00 PM sign up for a workshop with Marcus Rosenthal, founder of Precious Plastic LA/SoCal branch of the revolutionary open source project that is changing the way we view plastic waste and creating new potential for plastic artisanship.

They will demonstrate the entire process of making new products using the recycled plastics picked up by Célini and Louis from our beaches. Learn more and sign up here.

And while all this is happening, Sustain Ability card reader James Wanless, a renown author, eco-psychologist and Life Navigator will be on site for a one to one coaching session. For sure a life change experience!!!!
